How to Play Quick Draw Lotto
Quick Draw gives you the flexibility to decide how you want to play and even how much to wager. The aim of the game is to match as many of the numbers that you pick as possible.
You can play Quick Draw at virtually any time of day. The first set of numbers is selected at 4:04 AM, and drawings continue at four-minute intervals for the rest of the day until 3:24 AM. Follow the steps below to take part in Quick Draw.
How many numbers?
You can choose between one and 10 numbers in Quick Draw. Specify at the top of your playslip how many numbers – also known as Spots – you want to play.
Select your numbers
Choose your numbers from a range of 1 to 80. If you’re playing a 1-Spot game, you must select one number, and so on. Alternatively, mark the Quick Pick option and random numbers will be generated for you.
Choose your wager amount
You can pay $1, $2, $3, $4, $5 or $10 per game. The amount you wager helps to determine how much you can win.
Decide on Quick Draw Extra
If you say ‘Yes’ to Extra on your playslip, it gives you the chance to increase the value of any prizes you win by up to 10 times their original value. Adding the Extra option doubles the cost of your wager.
Multi-Draw option
You can play just the next draw, or enter your numbers into 2, 3, 4, 5, 10 or 20 consecutive drawings.
Add Money Dots
Select the Money Dots option to give you another chance to win a prize. Money Dots can also be played separately, and has a top prize of $50. Go to the Money Dots page to learn more about how it works.
Purchase your entries
The total cost of your Quick Draw play depends on the dollar amount selected, number of draws played and whether you added Extra or not.
How the Draw Works
In each draw, 20 numbers from 1 to 80 are selected at random. You can’t watch the draws on television, but you can see them as they happen at your local NY Lottery retailer or in the Quick Draw Zone within the official app.
How to Win
You win by matching the numbers you have picked to the numbers that are drawn. You have to match a certain amount to be eligible for a prize, depending on how many selected. In some cases, you can even receive a payout if you match none of the winning numbers. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to find out all the different ways to win for each game.
