Take 5 Odds and Prizes
Take 5 has favourable odds of winning in comparison to many other games, with a jackpot that is usually worth tens of thousands of dollars.
The grand prize is split if there are multiple winners, and is guaranteed to be paid out even if nobody matches all five numbers.
Instead of rolling to the next draw if there are no jackpot winners, the jackpot money is added to the prize fund for the level below. This creates much bigger payouts for matching just four out of five numbers.
Unlike many other games, the prize amounts are not fixed. A percentage of the prize fund is allocated to each of the top three categories, so the final value depends on the number of winners. Anyone matching two numbers receives a free Quick Pick.
The table below shows the different ways to win, the percentage of the prize fund given to each one, an estimated amount, and the odds of winning.
Numbers Matched | Odds of Winning | Prize Fund Percentage | Estimated Prize |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 1 in 575,757 | 20% | $57,575.70 |
4 | 1 in 3,386.81 | 30% | $508.02 |
3 | 1 in 102.63 | 50% | $25.66 |
2 | 1 in 9.62 | Free Quick Pick | N/A |
Overall odds of winning are 1 in 8.77.
